The Audi RS6 Avant Is Ready for American Roads
The reason the RS6 Avant is finally coming to America? Audi's U.S. division has been making numerous requests to bring the car over here in recent years. The RS6 Avant will be available in the second or third quarter of 2020, and will be sold as a 2020 model following its European debut in the first quarter.
This car will compete with other luxury wagons on the market. It features a sporty grille with a pair of massive intake vents on either side. This gives the RS6 Avant an aggressive and distinct appearance. The rear has that same aggressive look, with dual exhaust tips, black mesh diffuser, and a silver trim, which helps it stand out.
This Wagon Brings the Power
When you press down on the accelerator of the RS6 Avant, you'll feel the power right away. This vehicle is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, which is paired up with a hybrid system. When all is said and done, it produces 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It may be a wagon, but it certainly feels like a sports car.
It can also go from 0-60 MPH in just 3.6 seconds and can hit 120 MPH in under 12 seconds. With the Dynamic Package Plus, which involves the RS adaptive air suspension, you'll be able to hit top speeds of 190 MPH. Even with the standard Dynamic package, the top speed is 174 MPH. The standard model then maxes out at 155 MPH.
The 8-speed automatic transmission sends torque to the quattro® all-wheel drive system. If any slippage is detected, more power will be sent to the axle with the best traction.
It's Got the Looks
It's hard not to notice the honeycomb-style grille and new bumper design, with the available LED laser lights with darkened trim as an option for discerning drivers. The 21-inch cast aluminum wheels with a 10-spoke design sparkle, but the 22-inch wheels with 5-spoke design stand out, too.
Inside the RS6 Avant, Nappa leather and Alcantara leather are embossed with an RS logo, while available heated and cooled sport seats ensure your drives are always comfortable.
